Welcome! I'm Maggie Jo Bennett, and I'm so glad you're here.
I believe books have the power to inform, inspire, entertain, and make a difference in people's lives.
My writing journey began with a simple idea: making complicated information easier to understand. My first two books, SSI Simplified and Medicare Simplified, were written to help everyday readers find clear answers and feel more confident navigating important decisions.
But that's only the beginning!
From helpful nonfiction guides to stories that entertain and inspire, there's much more to come.
So grab a cup of coffee, get comfortable, and stay awhile. I'm happy you're joining me on this journey!

For more than 30 years, Maggie Jo Bennett dedicated her career to helping people navigate some of life's most complicated challenges.
Her journey began in special education and continued into social work, where she worked with children, adults with disabilities, individuals with brain injuries, and older adults who needed guidance, support, and someone willing to speak up for them.
Throughout her career, Maggie helped individuals and families navigate Social Security, Medicaid, healthcare services, housing, and community resources. She worked to help people remain safely and independently in their own homes whenever possible.
But her work was always about more than programs and paperwork. It was about people.
After decades of watching families struggle to understand complicated systems, Maggie decided to put her experience into words. Her first books, SSI Simplified and Medicare Simplified, grew from a simple belief: Everyone deserves information they can understand.
And while helping others will always be close to her heart, Maggie's writing journey doesn't stop with nonfiction. She looks forward to exploring new stories, sharing fresh ideas, and writing books that entertain and inspire.
Away from her writing desk, Maggie enjoys life with her husband, their five children, and the many grandchildren she absolutely adores. Rounding out the family are a lovable golden retriever and a slightly crazy Great Dane who make sure there's never a dull moment!
